Scripture for the Overloaded Mind

Bible Verses for Stress

Stress often comes from carrying more than was ever meant to be carried alone. Scripture's answer isn't to shrink the load, but to name who it can be handed to: "cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee."

Jesus made a similar offer to a crowd worn down by daily demands: "come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Not a rest that requires everything to first be resolved, but one available in the middle of the load itself.

If today feels like too much, let these verses be a place to set some of it down. The Bible Verse Memory Game on the Verses4Emotions homepage offers a small, steady way to keep returning to scripture like this.
